EnviroMaster International Corp, better known as EMI, was established in 1985 and has been a leader in the manufacture of ductless split air conditioning systems for over 31 years. In 1986, EMI was purchased by ECR International, Inc., a manufacturing company that provides heating and cooling products under a family of brand names. With two facilities in upstate NY and distribution points throughout the US and Canada, ECR serves the needs of its customers through quality products, modern innovation, and reliable customer service.

EMI offers the most comprehensive line of ductless air conditioning systems, with ductless equipment for both hydronic systems as well as refrigerant-based ductless split systems; ductless air handlers for chilled water cooling solutions with hydronic heating capabilities; ductless split system air conditioning equipment with both fixed capacity and inverter compressor heat pump models. Multi-zone models can support up to 5 individual indoor air handlers with both wall mounted and ceiling cassette options. With exceptional performance and operating economy, EMI split systems are ideal for zone or spot conditioning in light commercial, institutional & residential applications.

In 1992, EMI created the Retroaire division to fill a market need for replacement units that were no longer produced by the original manufacturer. RetroAire produces package terminal air conditioner and heat pump units to replace various manufacturers’ current and discontinued models.

RetroAire in 1997 designed a vertical packaged air conditioning unit, or VPAC, for motels which could service both the main space as well as have a  duct run to an adjacent area.  RetroAire products are ideal for hotels, motels, health care, commercial, residential, and institutional facilities. RetroAire offers quiet, efficient and economical alternatives for all your air conditioning project requirements. Competitive pricing, a national network of field representatives and dedicated factory support will assist you with your replacement or upgrade projects.
